south of Circle Center in downtown Indianapolis. Ideal for school groups,

and Heidi Shackleford, of MMHP Puppet Productions Inc., present captivating

SUMMER PUPPET CAMPS
LEVEL 1 CAMPS - Monday thru Friday - Hours
9am to 12 noon. Ages 4 1/2 thru 8.
Children in this camp will make a variety of puppets including a simple
marionette, a simple mouth puppet, a rod puppet and a surprise or two! The
week begins with a ‘mini puppet show’ and concludes with a camper show for
parents, complete with refreshments. This is a great camp for the creative
child. (2 year curriculum - different puppets each year!)

Level 2 Campers will construct a variety
of puppets including marionettes, hand and shadow puppets. We recommend
campers bring their own ‘tools’ to camp. (Scissors, pins, needles, marker,
etc.) A complete list of suggested items will be provided upon
registration. Camp ‘tools’ will be available at camp for those not bringing
their own.
Level 3 is for advanced campers &
Peewinkle Apprentices. Each camper designs a puppet the first day & works
on it the entire week. They may choose a “muppet style puppet” or a
marionette. Campers learn how to use saws, drills & glues. They learn
beginning costuming, machine sewing & much more! Campers in this level
will be expected to bring their own tool/ sewing kit. A supply list for
these kits will be provided upon registration. Campers will receive a
camper T-shirt.
Campers perform for parents, siblings & friends on the
last day of camp.

Birthday Party Workshops!
 Debbi and Trent are now
available for Birthday Party Puppet Workshops and would love to come visit
you! These workshops are suitable for ages 3 to 9 years. Children will talk
with Trent, make a simple puppet and perform with their puppets. The
workshop is about 30 minutes in length. The fee is $100 and includes
supplies for up to 15 children. Debbi has a variety of puppets to choose
from: Pincesses, fairies, dinosaurs and aliens are but a few! Contact Debbi

 Visit
our summertime venue at The Melchior Marionette Theatre, Westside of
S. Van Buren St., Nashville, IN. Shows are on Saturdays, starting on
Memorial Day weekend through October. Closed in August. Shows at 1
& 3pm. These 20 minute cabaret marionette shows have been
entertaining tourists for over 25 years!!
NOTE: Tickets to these shows are not for sale online. Please purchase
tickets 20 minutes before show times at the theater, the day of the show.
